 Thank You for an Amazing Expo & Potluck!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for the 21C Club Expo and brought food to share for our potluck dinner. It was truly special to drum, sing, and celebrate with our school community. Seeing the incredible projects and performances from our kids’ after-school clubs was inspiring—we are so proud of their creativity, hard work, and growth. Thank you for making it such a memorable night!

 Free Salem Pantry Popup – THIS FRIDAY, 3/28

We’re excited to share that HMLS will be hosting another Salem Pantry popup for free groceries on Friday, March 28th, from 1:30-2:30pm. The Pantry Truck will be parked in the back of the school by the gym entrance. Thanks to Pathways, in partnership with the PTC, this is open to all families, with no income restrictions.

 Next PTC Meeting – All Are Welcome! Wednesday, 4/9

Join us for our next PTC meeting on Wednesday, April 9th, from 6:30-7:30pm at the school. We’ll be discussing Staff Appreciation Week, upcoming fundraisers including the calendar and Jar Wars, family engagement, Field Day, and more. Your voice and participation help us make a difference for our school community. We hope to see you there!

 Dough for Dollars at Flying Saucer- Thursday, 4/3

Skip cooking and support the PTC by grabbing pizza on Thursday, April 3rd! From 4-9pm, 10% of all sales (dine-in or takeout) at Flying Saucer Pizza will be donated back to the PTC. It’s a tasty and easy way to support our school—see you there!

 Family Movie Night – The Lorax- Friday, 4/11

Get ready for a fun and cozy Movie Night featuring The Lorax on Friday, April 11th!

• Doors open at 6:00pm, and the movie starts at 6:20pm.
• We’ll have an Earth Day-themed craft for kids to enjoy if they need a break from the show.
• The concession stand will be open with pizza and snacks available for purchase throughout the night.
• Bring something comfy to sit on—blankets, sleeping bags, or pillows are all welcome.

This is not a dropoff event, and all children must be supervised by a responsible adult. It’s going to be a fun evening for the whole family—don’t miss it!

 Building Community Through Connections

We’re working hard to connect our families with each other by creating classroom contact lists. These lists will make it easier for families to arrange playdates, summer plans, carpool, and share classroom info. Lists will be compiled in the next few weeks and sent home, so if you haven’t added your info yet, reach out to your child’s teacher to be included!

 Classroom Coordinators – WE NEED YOU!

We’re still looking for Classroom Coordinators for several homerooms. This is a great way to support your child’s teacher and stay involved. As a coordinator, you’ll:

• Be the central contact between the teacher and caregivers.
• Help find volunteers for field trips and classroom needs.
• Coordinate with families for Staff Appreciation Week and class celebrations.

 Summer FUNdraiser Calendar – Coming Soon!

Our Summer FUNdraiser Calendar is just around the corner! Sales officially begin April 1st, with the winner for the first prize drawn May 1st. Prizes will be awarded every day in May, so each ticket purchased means 31 chances at winning amazing prizes! Calendars will be sent home next week, with extra ticket sheets and calendars available at the main office.

• Tickets are $10 each, and every ticket gives you 31 chances to win.
• Prizes include $50 cash, restaurant gift cards, and passes to local experiences like whale watches, mini golf, laser tag, and an indoor water park.
• Winning tickets get re-entered, so you could win multiple times!
• The student who sells the most tickets will win a $75 Skyzone gift card, and the class with the most sales will earn a PTC-sponsored party of their choice.

Be on the lookout—this is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year!
